In October 2024, delegates from all over the world arrived in Siracusa for the International Certificate Course in Translational Medicine, run by Eureka Institute.

No one knew each other well, and we definitely did not know each other’s superpowers. Some of us weren’t even aware of our own.

By the end of the week, however, this had certainly changed.

From empathy to dishwashing, navigation to napping, pun-making, future-seeing, video-gaming, swimming, climbing, singing, disrupting, we all unearthed some obscure, weird or hilarious parts of ourselves. And by sharing these pieces with others we became more relatable, approachable, and human.

Superpotentia Obscura is a limited-edition artefact that catalogs each attendee and their unique superpowers. It also includes the movie posters and fantastic synopses that were created by each group.
